Introduction

I'm a product designer with 12+ years of experience building digital products at the intersection of strategy and craft. I specialise in fintech and B2B SaaS, where the problems are messy, the stakes are real, and good design requires as much rigour as it does intuition. I don't just design features, I help teams figure out which problems are actually worth solving, and then lead the work from discovery to measurable outcome. AI is now part of how I work across the entire design process, from sharpening discovery to building rapid prototypes that validate ideas before a single line of code is written. When I'm not deep in a product problem, I'm exploring new places with my wife and our 8-month-old son, or mentoring new designers on Squad Academy.

Philosophy

Good design is an act of reduction. Over nearly two decades in this industry I've come to believe that the most enduring work strips away the unnecessary until only the essential remains — not because simplicity is fashionable, but because clarity respects the people who use what we make. I approach every project as a systems problem first: understanding the constraints, the flows, the real jobs to be done before a single frame is drawn. Sustainability in design means building systems that outlast the sprint they were born in — design languages that scale, component libraries that a team can own, decisions that are documented and reasoned. I'm skeptical of trends and loyal to first principles. That's what keeps the work honest.
